At Cornwall Art Studio we offer a relaxed and informal environment to develop your artistic skills. Have a look at the paintings in our Gallery to see art that has been created by participants in our Workshops, some of whom have never painted before.

All of the paintings have been completed in a 4 hour workshop.

Seascapes for Beginners 25/09/2018: A very busy session today and lots of new faces! What a great day we had and so many fantastic paintings. As we always say, the only problem with acrylic painting is that it is so very addictive, as possibly some of today's artists will find after today's introduction.

Mark Making: Trees 22/09/2018: A small group today and some great paintings. One of these was accomplished by someone who has never painted before, which is a great achievement. All of our workshops are suitable for beginners as we can guide everyone through their painting - as much support as needed.

Sunset & Silhouette 19/09/2018: How to blend colours to create the perfect sunset. Not an easy subject, but what a great week we are having and some fantastic paintings at today's session.

Plein Air - Stepper Point 05/09/2018: What a great start to our Autumn workshops. We were blesssed with the weather and a fantastic day was had by all. I have included some additional photos of our day on the beach.

On our way to the beach! We took a minimal amount of equipment which was a good job as there were quite a few steps down to Greenaway beach.

The workshop commenced and it was quite a challenge with the ever changing clouds and sea. We were very fortunate with the weather conditions and only a light breeze - so we didn't have any airbourne canvases!

We used viewfinders to choose our compositions and sea water in our reservoirs. Our location gave all the participants a choice of either painting Stepper Point or Pentire.

Everyone was quite rightly delighted with their paintings at the end of the workshop. A few challenges overcome with the sinking stones and fast drying paint, but it was a brilliant experience for us all. Thank you so much to Patricia & John who hosted us at their wonderful home.

How I love coming to the Studio....it is a very relaxed place to paint. You have inspired me so much, every time we come to stay in Cornwall, I try and get to a session.

I come away full of enthusiasm.
